The story

A story of hospitality that began in Kadıköy and spans three generations.

Our journey began in 1972 as Engin Hotel; it grew into Grand Engin in 1998 and became My Dora in 2005. Only the name and the capacity changed. What never changed was welcoming every guest as if they had come to our own home.

Run by the same family today, My Dora welcomes its guests a few steps from the Kadıköy waterfront. With its rich breakfast, a terrace reaching out to Haydarpaşa and the Bosphorus, treats throughout the day and a team ready at any hour, it makes a stay in Istanbul warmer and more personal.

For us, a good stay is more than a comfortable room. As the first hotel on the Asian side certified under the Greening Hotels programme, we use energy and water consciously, cut waste, and support local suppliers and Kadıköy's culture. Every day, we aim to do a little better.
